Riverside University Health System is seeking a Per Diem Physician Leader to join our Medical Center - Geriatric Clinical Practice team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of patients and provide high-quality care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Function as a clinician leader of services provided to patients by the medical team or medical specialty area; plan, organize, supervise, and coordinate the primary or specialized medical services at the medical center and outpatient clinics.
- Supervise clinicians, healthcare support staff, medical students, interns, and resident physicians.
- Develop and present educational programs for medical students, interns, resident physicians, and ancillary medical staff.
- Act as a medical consultant for primary, preventive care, health and wellness, and related community and public health programs.
- Maintain documentation of care to substantiate coding, in accordance with standards required by the Joint Commission, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), state, and federal guidelines.
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Geriatric Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Active and unrestricted California medical license, or able to obtain a California medical license.
- Familiarity with clinical metrics, performance improvement, and corrective action plans.
- Previous work experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Outpatient Primary Care.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
