Key Responsibilities- Hearing Evaluations and Diagnostics
- Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations and diagnostics to identify hearing impairments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Hearing Aid Services
- Fit, program, and maintain hearing aids for patients to ensure optimal hearing outcomes.
- Auditory Testing
- Perform Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emissions (DPOAEs), Auditory Evoked Potentials (AEP), and Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) tests to assess hearing function.
- Vestibular testing, including VNG's, O-Vemp, and C-Vemp, to diagnose balance disorders.
- Patient Care and Education
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote hearing health and awareness.
- Education and Licensure
- Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D) from an accredited institution.
- Licensed to practice audiology in the state of California.
- Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an audiologist.
- Proficiency in conducting a wide range of auditory tests and diagnostics.
- Expertise in fitting and programming hearing aids from various manufacturers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Basic understanding of Spanish to communicate with a diverse patient population.
