**Commercial Driver**

The County of Blair is seeking an experienced Commercial Driver to operate commercial and large vehicles, including dump trucks, snow plows, and construction equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for making deliveries, completing assignments, and maintaining County-owned roads and bridges.

• Maintaining a clean and safe driving record
• Inspecting vehicles and safety equipment to ensure proper working condition
• Monitoring loading and unloading of cargo
• Picking up and delivering cargo
• Performing minor repairs on vehicles as needed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• An active commercial driver's license (Class A) and a valid Pennsylvania driver's license
• At least one year of experience in operating commercial vehicles and construction equipment
• Strong English language skills to communicate effectively with customers and understand operating manuals

The starting wage for this position is $19.52 per hour, increasing to $20.56 per hour after one year of service. You will also receive a competitive benefits package, including 90% employer-paid PPO health insurance, a defined benefit pension plan, and 12 paid holidays.

This is a full-time position that requires availability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a flexible schedule and work independently with minimal supervision.
