Nurse Practitioner

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient's needs.
- Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
- Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
- Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Manages care of patients.
- Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
- Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year prior RN experience working in a major acute care hospital setting required.
- Must have 1 year of Stepdown experience with vents & trached patients, Neuro, Trauma and Surgical patients, and Telemetry experience.
- Experience with some infusions (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Cardene) is a plus.
- Neurological assessments is a plus.
Additional Information:
- Float Requirement: Likely not needed, but just in case- equal unit (stepdown/intermediate) or med surg telemetry.
- RN must be willing and able to treat and manage patients on unit with a variety of conditions (including but not limited to flu, Covid, heart issues, lung issues, etc).

- Hours Per Week: 36.00
- Hours Per Day: 12.00
- Schedule Notes: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Every Other Weekend. Holidays required. No On Call.
