Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN to join our team at Chandler Regional Medical Center. This role is essential for providing high-quality care in our Emergency Room (ER) unit.

Certification Requirements
  • Mandatory Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATCN or TNCC, PALS or ENPC.
  • Competency testing for moderate conscious sedation is required.
Job Responsibilities
  • The ideal candidate must possess an active BLS, ACLS, ATCN or TNCC certification, along with an Arizona license or a compact license.
  • Flexibility to float to the sister facility as needed.
  • Successful completion of a dysrhythmia exam upon acceptance (maximum of 2 attempts) and a pass/fail Sim Lab on the first day of orientation (study materials will be provided).
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
  • Essential certifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC.
  • At least 2 years of recent ER experience, including Level 1 Trauma, is mandatory.
  • COVID vaccination is required, or a declination form with appropriate medical documentation.
Schedule Information
  • Start times will vary based on shift assignments.
  • Travelers must be available to work all shifts, with no exceptions.
  • Shifts include Day/Mid (7a-7p, 9a-9p, 10a-10p, 11a-11p, 12p-12a, 1p-1a) and Night (3p-3a, 5p-5a, 7p-7a).
  • A minimum of 4 weekend shifts is required per scheduling period.
  • Availability for 2 out of 3 holidays during the holiday season is necessary.
Unit Specific Information
  • Unit: Emergency Room.
  • Support staff includes Charge Nurse and Unit Secretary.
  • Nurse Aides, including Paramedics, assist with IVs, IV fluids, discharges, and technical duties.
  • Scrub Color: Navy.
  • Equipment includes GE Lifepacks monitors, Vents - Puritan Benette 840, Dreager, Vision Bipap, V60s.
  • In-house Hospitalist or Intensivist available.
  • IV Team: Paramedics are authorized to initiate IVs.
  • Pharmacy services are available 24/7 with an ER Pharmacist on-site during the day.
  • Common patient diagnoses include Trauma, MVAs, GSW, blunt trauma, CVA (Stroke center), MI (CP center), high-risk OB, Psych holds, and cardioversions.
  • Approximately 11% of the patient population is pediatric, with admissions limited to ages 15 and older.
  • Facility handles approximately 80,000 visits annually and is recognized as a chest pain center and certified stroke center.

  • Background checks must be completed prior to starting.
  • Travelers will not be permitted to begin until background check results are received.
