Job Summary

The Plant Maintenance role at CEMEX is a critical position that requires a skilled and experienced individual to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. As a Plant Maintenance professional, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of plant equipment, including conveyor systems, electrical, plumbing, pneumatics, and welding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize tools and equipment safely and in compliance with manufacturer specifications to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Assist in scheduling plant and equipment maintenance to meet operational needs and priorities.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and protocols, including Lock-Out Tag-Out, to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conveyor belts, and electrical components.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Document maintenance activities, including daily logs, repair requests, and job hazard analyses, to ensure accurate records and compliance with company policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school certification or relevant experience preferred.
  • One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be qualified as an experienced welder and pass a physical welding exam.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced industrial environment with exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and physical demands. The successful candidate must be able to work safely and effectively in this environment, wearing personal protective equipment as required.

Physical Requirements
  • Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.
  • Exerting pounds of force occasionally, frequently, and continually.
