We are seeking a highly motivated and mission-driven Aquatic Fitness Instructor to join our team at the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges. As a member of our aquatic team, you will be responsible for teaching dynamic and beneficial exercise classes in the water while maintaining safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Create a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service, leadership, and guidance to all members in classes.
- Evaluate progress and modify classes and routines according to the fitness level of class participants.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a related field.
- Certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid, Water Art, and Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program preferred.
- Strong vocal ability to project instruction clearly during lessons.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
