Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Advocate Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing care to patients, assessing their needs and developing individualized care plans.
  • Assess educational needs and provide teaching and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Integrate health promotion and preventive aspects of care, prioritizing patient needs and providing timely interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical and patient records, adhering to agency, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Participate in community education programs and continuous quality improvement activities, staying current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Typically requires 2 years of experience in acute care nursing, including experience in an applicable clinical specialty.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs over the head, carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance, push/pull with 30 lbs of force, and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present. You may be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste, as well as blood and body fluids, and must wear protective clothing and equipment as necessary.
