Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at SpartanNash. This role involves safely driving commercial trucks on designated routes to deliver products to customers, while also assisting with unloading and verifying delivery confirmations.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and at least six months of experience in all-season commercial driving. They will also possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and be physically fit to handle heavy lifting and pushing/pulling loaded pallets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely drive commercial trucks on designated routes to deliver products to customers
  • Assist with unloading and verifying delivery confirmations
  • Maintain DOT driver's logbook or electronic logging device (onboard computer) and other delivery documentation
  • Inform management of any deviations or invoice discrepancies, including pickup of damaged goods and customer returns
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and compliant with DOT regulations
  • Operate global positioning systems (GPS) /Electronic On-Board Recorders to communicate with dispatch
