Job Title: Speech Language Pathology Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Cardinal Cushing Centers. As a Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing remedial speech and language services to students as directed by a speech language pathologist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide input for speech and language diagnostic assessments for all students on caseload
  • Attend all IEP meetings, reviews, and transdisciplinary meetings as necessary
  • Document speech language services in the form of goals and progress reports on a quarterly basis
  • Provide staff with suggestions and methodology training and interventions to be implemented in the various domains where students function
  • Schedule with staff observation and consultation time as part of the integrated service delivery model
  • Assist parents/guardians with outside consultation and/or evaluations
  • Conduct hearing services on all students once a year
  • Attend all school faculty meetings/in-services as scheduled
  • Keep all student-related information confidential
  • Provide individual/group or collaborative/consultative services as directed to address students IEP goals
  • Complete annual professional development requirements
  • Maintain documentation of direct and indirect supervision from speech language pathologist
  • Intervene physically in behaviorally aggressive situations as trained
  • Uphold the mission and corporate values of Cardinal Cushing Centers of Massachusetts
  • Regular attendance and promptly reporting to work at the beginning of the scheduled shift are essential functions of this position
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Run therapeutic groups in the residential and classroom setting
Requirements:
  • Clinical experience with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and/or school placement
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Speech/Language Pathology
  • Massachusetts Speech Language Pathology Assistant license
  • Certifications in CPR, Safety Care, and First Aid
