Position Overview:
The individual will engage in the pivotal role within the Planning & Analytics division of Global Integrated Marketing (GIM). This role involves the identification and assessment of strategic business prospects, including new initiatives and partnerships. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams across AWS marketing to evaluate these opportunities and establish a factual basis for informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analytical Problem Solving: Develop frameworks and methodologies to tackle ambiguous and intricate analytical challenges, converting analysis into actionable insights and recommendations for the organization.
  • Business Impact Assessment: Formulate business requirements to evaluate the influence of AWS marketing across various channels, measuring its effectiveness in fostering a conducive selling environment and promoting business growth.
  • Marketing Opportunity Evaluation: Analyze new marketing prospects by modeling performance, reflecting realistic scenarios, or illustrating acceptable risk thresholds.
  • Operational Efficiency Recommendations: Propose strategies and tactics to enhance current business operations processes for improved efficiency.
  • Collaboration with Analytics Teams: Partner with other analytics teams and finance to refine measurement methodologies, synthesizing diverse perspectives into a clear and concise format.
  • Presentation of Findings: Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership effectively.

About the Team:
The Global Integrated Marketing (GIM) team delivers comprehensive marketing programs globally, encompassing advertisements, sponsorships, brand partnerships, digital channels, and events to enhance brand awareness, preference, and adoption of AWS services. The GIM Planning and Analytics team collaborates directly with GIM leadership to drive strategic initiatives and shape the long-term marketing strategy for the organization.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business or marketing strategy, consulting, corporate development, finance, or operations.
- 5+ years of advanced Excel proficiency (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.).
- Proven experience in making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on structured thinking and attention to detail, particularly in presentations to senior executives.
- Demonstrated sound business judgment, strong analytical capabilities, and a history of ownership and data-driven analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent Master’s degree in Marketing or Finance.
- Proven project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in executing strategy engagements and measuring effectiveness in the B2B sector.
- Ability to measure, test, learn, and iterate to achieve optimal results.
- Track record of successfully navigating ambiguous situations.
- Experience in creating financial models to evaluate the long-term value of investments.
- Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Intellectual curiosity, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Compensation:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, alongside a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
