Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at KPC Promise Hospital of Amarillo. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the nursing team in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine nursing care and services to patients/residents requiring long-term acute or transitional restorative care, in accordance with established nursing care procedures and as directed by the nurse.
  • Assist with feeding, bathing, and dressing patients/residents, as well as taking vital signs and serving meals.
  • Keep patient/resident rooms tidy and set up medical equipment as needed.
  • Answer call lights for help and observe and report changes in patient/resident condition or behavior.
  • Meet current documentation standards and complete within shift.
  • Practice established infection control procedures and maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.
  • Work ethically and demonstrate good customer service.
  • Arrive promptly, regularly, and reliably for assigned work schedule.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Current CNA state Certification and maintenance of Certification renewal in accordance with regulatory agency standards.
  • Prior experience in healthcare preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Internet and Email.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association.
  • ANSI Food Handler certification, if required by state regulating body.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Walking - up to 50%.
  • Standing - up to 75%.
  • Kneeling - up to 25%.
  • Sitting - up to 25%.
  • Pulling - up to 50%.
  • Reaching - up to 35%.
  • Lifting - up to 50lbs.
  • Wrist/Finger Movements - up to 90%.
