Job Title: Electrical Engineer for FPGA Design

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As an FPGA Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing FPGA designs for various vendors and device families, including AMD, Intel, Microchip, and Lattice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement FPGA designs using VHDL and Verilog coding languages
  • Work with circuit card designers and systems engineers to develop requirements, select parts, and architect devices
  • Perform code development, simulation, and place and route
  • Verify designs against requirements using directed test and constrained random methodologies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM major
  • Experience with VHDL or Verilog coding
  • Experience with one of the following FPGAs: AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Microchip/Microsemi
  • 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ABET accreditation standard
  • Experience with tool flows in Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or Microchip Libero
  • Knowledge of C programming and scripting languages such as Python
