Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer with expertise in aviation to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating complex systems, with a focus on mission planning and decision support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain system architecture and design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems and ensure seamless operation
  • Conduct trade studies and whitepapers to inform system design and development
  • Author and maintain system requirements and documentation
  • Participate in Agile development and testing of cloud-based solutions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 0 years of experience
  • Active Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain SAP clearance
  • 2+ years of operational mission planning experience in an aviation context, including weapons delivery planning for a manned platform
  • Experience as a Fighter Pilot/Aviator or Mission Planner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in System Engineering activities such as operational concept development, architecture definition, requirements development and management, verification and validation
  • Experience with UI/UX development and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Understanding of Agile software development and testing
