Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Residency Program Coordinator to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies and protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide education to patients and family members regarding scheduled procedures and surrounding events
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
  • Perform non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing and cardioversions as required
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition required
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire
