Job Title: Senior Director, Reinsurance Property Per Risk

Aon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Director to lead our Reinsurance Property Per Risk team. As a key member of our industry-leading team, you will empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Structuring and negotiating sophisticated commercial per risk placements, understanding key terms and coverage concerns, and maintaining a comprehensive peer comparison to assist other broking teams in understanding per risk market dynamics.
  • Collaborating with various broking teams to support both new and existing complex per risk placements.
  • Coordinating with the Property Growth team on expanding Aon's portfolio within the per risk market.
  • In conjunction with actuarial and catastrophe modeling teams, expanding Aon's analytics approach within the Per Risk space.
  • Making a meaningful contribution to the success of the company through financial impact of revenue contribution, strategic growth of a product or enhancement of the company's professional image and expertise.
  • Using key business parameters to evaluate department efficiency.
  • Viewed as a key client manager; receiving high client satisfaction results by achieving clients' reinsurance placement goals.
  • Growing existing accounts and seeking new account opportunities.
  • Achieving placement goals at or above set levels and supporting team growth to do the same.
  • Ability to effectively and independently conduct relevant business discussions at the most senior level (CEO/CFO).
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with clients and reinsurers.
  • Establishing credibility with clients through day-to-day interactions.
  • Demonstrating problem-solving techniques to best meet the clients' needs; recognized as a solution provider for complex client issues.
  • Setting realistic expectations and timelines with clients; then, able to produce results.
  • Ensuring all placements are thoroughly reviewed and delivered to the client within the acceptable cycle time.
  • Adhering to Aon processes and procedures and all quality service requirements to deliver outstanding client value.
  • Recognized as a company leader; committed to continuous improvement and client relationship management.
  • Leading a team of professionals or holding equivalent senior business responsibility.
  • Acting as a mentor to broking professionals and developing people to maximum potential.
  • Championing and promoting a team approach to both internal and external business relationships.
  • Handling T&E expenses for self and team within corporate guidelines.
  • Commitment to pursuing self-development of knowledge and skills in an evolving world of insurance, reinsurance, and analytics.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 - 12 years related experience.
  • Consistent track record of placing complex property per risk treaties.
  • Previous formal or informal experience in leading direct reports.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with capability to interact with major clients to cultivate and maintain strong relationships at a most senior level.
  • Strong market presence within the broking industry.
  • Excellent communicator (both verbally and in writing) with internal and external clients.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with high level of accountability for profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills; able to multi-task and manage projects and direct reports.
  • Ability to lead team(s) to deliver high levels of client service, quality, and results.
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Known problem-solver who anticipates issues and suggests creative solutions.
  • Ability to embrace and inspire change in support of the business unit's and company's goals.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products with ability to learn and use multiple software and system-based applications.
