Job Title: Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular Surgery Specialist

TheraEx Staffing Services - APP is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant with expertise in Cardiovascular Surgery to fill a locum tenens position in Yuma, Arizona.

Job Details:

We require a Physician Assistant with experience managing post-operative Cardiothoracic Surgery patients in the ICU and telemetry floor. The ideal candidate will have operative experience in assisting the surgeon, as well as radial artery and endoscopic vein harvesting skills. The following are the required skills and qualifications:

  • Experience with Hemopro system for harvesting
  • Operative experience in Cardio OR (Cardiovascular Operating Room), Level 2 trauma
  • Required skills: EVH Harvesting, ICU Management, Stepdown Management, Office Visits, Database Entry (i.e. STS), Open Radial Artery Harvest, & Endoscopic Radial Artery
  • Willingness to train in ICU procedures (Chest tube insertions, Central lines, etc.)
  • EMR: Epic

Requirements:

  • Active unrestricted AZ License
  • Active ACLS & BLS certifications
  • First Assistant in Surgery Certification
  • CVOR Experience REQUIRED
  • 3 years of experience
  • Board Certified
  • Must be able to provide at least 2 supervisory references
