About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge 5G Fronthaul and Backhaul Ethernet transport products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, document, and implement new features and functionalities on the 9145E NID Product Line.
  • Investigate, debug, and troubleshoot issues and problems reported by customers in the field.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to define automated testing methodologies and processes for the 9145E Product Line.
  • Provide estimates, scheduling recommendations, and periodic reports on engineering tasks.
  • Participate in engineering meetings and reviews, providing insight and recommendations on features, release planning, and integration and automation support for continuous development and testing.
Requirements
  • Over 2 years of C programming experience.
  • Experience with VxWorks platforms, including Wind River's Workbench Eclipse-based integrated development environment (IDE).
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies is a plus and highly desired:
  • Software projects for networking devices, such as switches, routers, or NICs.
  • MEF and Carrier Ethernet concepts and functionality, IEEE standards, and fundamental concepts of networking (queues, lookups, policing, shaping, etc.).
  • SNMP, SNMP agent, and MIB development.
  • TCP/IP Stacks and associated components/protocols: IPv4, TCP, UDP, ARP, FTP, SSH, SFTP, DHCP, SSL, TELNET, RADIUS, etc.
  • Ethernet and LAN/MAN Bridging protocols, IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.1, VLANs, broadcasting, multicasting, OAM, STP, MRVP, GVRP, IP/MPLS: IPv4/v6, LDP, RSVP-TE, OSPF, BGP, etc.
