Job Summary

Vituity - Indiana, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Physician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical management services for patients, including emergency department consultations, admitting evaluations, and daily patient care rounds.
  • Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
  • Manage and treat common health problems, such as infections, influenza or pneumonia, as well as serious, chronic, and complex illnesses, in adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
  • Analyze records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose medical conditions of patients.
  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, or examination results.
  • Make diagnoses when different illnesses occur together or in situations where the diagnosis may be obscure.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
  • Immunize patients to protect them from preventable diseases.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
  • Advise surgeons of a patient's risk status and recommend appropriate intervention to minimize risk.
  • Provide consulting services to other doctors caring for patients with special or difficult problems.
  • Prepare government or organizational reports on birth, death, and disease statistics, workforce evaluations, or the medical status of individuals.
  • Plan, implement, or administer health programs in hospitals, businesses, or communities for prevention and treatment of injuries or illnesses.
Requirements
  • Medical degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Completion of three years (36 months) in family or internal medicine residency.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE).
  • Indiana medical license or ability to obtain.
Work Environment

This position will be working at the hospital for day and night shifts. For virtual shifts, the physician may work remotely from home.

Schedule: Full-time position (40 hours per week/2080 hours per year). Hours and shifts vary, call and weekends required.
