About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Perioperative Assistant to join our team at Virtua Health. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will provide essential support services to ensure the smooth operation of our surgical suites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare operating rooms for each case, adhering to strict protocols and procedures.
  • Assist with patient transport, positioning, and equipment setup, utilizing proper body mechanics to ensure patient safety.
  • Handle and transport specimens according to established policies and procedures.
  • Stock supplies, linen, and fluids, and assist with warehouse inventory management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous patient care experience or relevant skills.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • BLS Certification.
