- Records and tracks food and fluid intake as well as urinary and fecal output, notifying healthcare staff of any changes.
- Measures and documents vital signs as instructed by medical personnel.
- Collects and reports information regarding patient conditions and treatment plans.
- Observes patients for any symptoms that may require medical intervention.
- Documents and communicates observations related to patient behavior and physical symptoms to nursing staff.
- Reminds patients about their medication schedules and nutritional supplements.
- Assists patients with eating and drinking as needed.
- Handles bedpan duties, including collection and disposal.
- Provides personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming for patients who need assistance.
- Maintains a clean and comfortable environment by changing bed linens and making beds.
