Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Optometrist Assistant to support our eye care professionals in Newberry and Greenwood locations. This part-time position offers 24-30 hours per week, with potential for expansion into a full-time role. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and previous experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms efficiently.
  • Prepare patients for eye exams by conducting preliminary tests such as visual acuity and eye pressure checks.
  • Document patient medical histories in the electronic health records system accurately.
  • Assist the eye doctor during patient exams, providing necessary tools and support.
  • Maintain clean and well-stocked exam rooms.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment for patients.

Estimated Salary: $25-$35 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a clinical technician or in related fields.
