Position: Patient Care Technician
  • Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
  • Compensation: $30 - $32/hr

Role Responsibilities:
  • The Patient Care Technician is responsible for delivering direct care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nursing professional.
  • Accurate documentation of patient treatment information is essential.
  • Assist the licensed nurse with pre and post-treatment assessments and their corresponding documentation.
  • Monitor and record treatment parameters on the appropriate documentation forms.
  • Communicate any significant changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
  • Support emergency operational procedures as required.
  • Initiate basic CPR measures in case of cardiac or respiratory emergencies and respond to urgent situations related to patient care.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in patient care within a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Completion of a training program in hemodialysis theory and practice is required, along with CPR certification.

Educational Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is necessary.
  • Background in physical sciences or training in laboratory techniques is advantageous.
