Position: Patient Care Technician
- Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
- Compensation: $30 - $32/hr
Role Responsibilities:
- The Patient Care Technician is responsible for delivering direct care to assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nursing professional.
- Accurate documentation of patient treatment information is essential.
- Assist the licensed nurse with pre and post-treatment assessments and their corresponding documentation.
- Monitor and record treatment parameters on the appropriate documentation forms.
- Communicate any significant changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
- Support emergency operational procedures as required.
- Initiate basic CPR measures in case of cardiac or respiratory emergencies and respond to urgent situations related to patient care.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in patient care within a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Completion of a training program in hemodialysis theory and practice is required, along with CPR certification.
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is necessary.
- Background in physical sciences or training in laboratory techniques is advantageous.
