Job Title: Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor

**Job Summary:**

The Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the effective operation of our manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the General Manager and dotted-lined Regional Maintenance Manager, this individual will be responsible for managing the preventative maintenance programs, maintaining effective records, and leading a team of maintenance staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in driving unplanned machine downtime to company standards
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department
  • Support efforts to drive continuous improvement efforts and lean manufacturing techniques
  • Assist in meeting budget targets and limits and capital purchases are adhered to
  • Supervise the maintenance staff and drive cross-training for each
  • Problem-solve and trouble-shoot maintenance and facilities issues
  • Ability to lead and communicate effectively
  • Ability to use MRP systems
  • Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed
  • Assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules
  • Develop maintenance procedures and schedules
  • Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Assist with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects
  • Ensure daily goals and metrics are met and sustained daily/weekly/quarterly/annually
  • Assist in maintaining effective maintenance records, including OSHA and otherwise

Requirements:

  • High School Degree plus five to ten years related experience (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically machining, hydraulic and mechanical environments
  • Must possess analytical problem-solving techniques
  • Exposure or ability to learn lean manufacturing techniques
  • Must be self-motivated and self-managed and possess strong organizational skill
