Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

At Aveanna Healthcare, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The LVN is responsible for delivering and coordinating quality patient care in compliance with physician orders. This includes continuously observing and assessing patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate, and documenting all activities, assessments, and nursing actions in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders
  • Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs
  • Report changes in patient condition to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate
  • Document all activities, assessments, and nursing actions in a timely manner
  • Participate in and update the nursing care plan
  • Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes
  • Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implement care to prevent risk or reduce risk
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
Additional Requirements:
  • California - One (1) year of experience required working under current nursing license
  • Continuing Education as required by state
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
Environment:
  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases
