As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing students' communication skills, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services to students with communication disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Evaluation: Assess students' communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, to identify communication disorders and develop recommendations for treatment.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to communicate information, resolve issues, and provide services in compliance with established guidelines.
- Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Therapy Services: Provide speech and language therapy to students to minimize the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, including progress reports, activity logs, and billing information.
- Education and Certification: Master's degree in speech-language pathology and valid state license/certification required.
- Experience and Skills: Proven experience working with students with communication disorders, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional Development: Participation in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.
