Elena James is a new American Restaurant from the team at Opal and Nina May. We are looking for passionate and detail-oriented Baristas to join our team at our new restaurant in Chevy Chase.

We are seeking an experienced Barista to provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages using La Marzocco espresso machinery and adhering to the standards of the Elena James coffee and beverage program.

• 1-2 years experience as a Barista or Head Barista in Specialty coffee
• Strong technical Barista knowledge and skills (extraction, texturing, pouring)
• Ability to train, mentor, and support teammates in their coffee education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
• Punctual and reliable with a strong sense of teamwork

• Maintain high standards of quality and presentation in all beverages
• Train and educate new baristas on Elena James systems and procedures
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ordering, and rotation of coffee products
• Manage dialing in of coffees and calibration of grinders and brewing equipment
• Familiarize yourself with health & safety standards to operate a clean and organized workspace

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
