Position Summary

We are currently in search of a Material Handler for our manufacturing facility in Louisville. The primary responsibility of the Material Handler is to assist in organizing storage areas and managing inventory effectively. This role involves transporting pallets from the finished goods conveyor to designated storage areas, relocating materials to maintain order, and primarily fulfilling full pallet orders from storage locations. The tasks will be performed using a stand-up reach truck, along with loading trucks using a sit-down forklift and handling raw materials with a sit-down clamp truck.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality of materials.
  • Efficiently load and unload pallets and rolls.
  • Organize inventory in the most effective manner utilizing reach trucks, forklifts, and clamp trucks.
  • Utilize a handheld RF scanner to track all material movements.
  • Prepare and stage materials to accurately fulfill orders.
  • Wrap completed orders and prepare them for transport.
  • Monitor stock levels and recommend new storage solutions as necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing setting in a similar capacity.
  • At least two years of experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and deep reach trucks.
  • Familiarity with barcode scanning technology.
