Job Summary:

Cypress Engine Accessories LLC seeks a skilled Field Service Assistant to join our team. This role involves assisting with maintenance and repair activities on gas compression and/or process equipment, as directed.

Our industry-leading expertise delivers measurable performance improvement of natural gas engines and compressors used in midstream oil & gas and power generation applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with others to perform Call Outs (CO), Preventative Maintenance (PM), Major Maintenance (MM), Overhauls and Installations.
  • Be able/willing to perform any additional duties, tasks, and projects as necessary and as directed by the Field Service Manager.
  • High flexibility, adaptability, endurance and perseverance, openness to challenges, willing to work overtime hours when required.
  • Develop proficiency in order to perform quality, efficient work with less assistance.
  • Begin to demonstrate customer service skills.
  • Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Meet all compliance requirements, to include but not limited to, ongoing safety training, screenings and certifications.
  • Use basic computer skills, including Internet Explorer and Outlook.
  • Complete and submit company required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of or training in relevant HSE procedures and regulations.
  • General mechanical knowledge.
  • Identifies and utilizes basic tools and hardware effectively on job site.
  • Assesses and gathers the necessary tools for service-related work.

Education and Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with suitable driving record.
  • Gas or diesel engine and compressor school / training preferred.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check per customer requirements.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated mechanical experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be an independent, proactive and self-motivated person who will offer exceptional service to our customers.
  • Possess ability to work well with all management levels and between all departments.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be fit for duty for the job tasks being performed.
  • Must meet the medical requirements necessary to wear PPE required by role (includes respiratory protection medical requirements as required by role.)
  • Constantly required to display good manual dexterity and to reach with hands and arms.
  • Constantly required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to sit while driving or using a PC.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, and twist with good balance.
  • Regularly required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds and to push and pull up to 110 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to carry at least 40 pounds with one hand for at least 10 feet.
  • Occasionally required to crawl, climb in and around equipment, stairs and vertical ladders.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly travel with overnight stays.
