Cashiers at Harps are responsible for processing transactions, performing proper bagging techniques, and providing services to our customers. They must possess excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Process transactions efficiently and accurately, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Perform proper bagging techniques to ensure food safety and product quality.
  • Provide services to customers, including carry-out and other store services.
  • Clearly define issues and use critical thinking skills to resolve customer complaints.
  • Consistently produce high-quality products and services while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Successfully initiate, develop, and foster relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate responsible behavior, thoroughness of work, and dependability.
  • Exceed customer expectations by anticipating and recognizing customer needs.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Previous experience operating a cash register or handling cash is preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, and place merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Frequently reaches overhead and below the knees, including pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching, and twisting.
  • Continuous repetitive motion with hands and arms, such as grasping, gripping, and turning.
  • Stands and/or walks continuously throughout shift without a break for up to 4 hours.
  • Ability to visually locate merchandise and other objects, as well as verify information, often in small print.

Salary: $10-$12 per hour, depending on experience and location.
