Role Responsibilities

The role of a CT Scan Technologist involves assisting radiologists and other medical professionals in obtaining high-quality imaging necessary for patient diagnosis and treatment, while minimizing radiation exposure.

Key Duties
  • Image Acquisition: Conduct computed tomography studies adhering to established protocols, demonstrating the ability to distinguish between normal and abnormal anatomy.
  • Contrast Administration: Administer intravenous and oral contrast as needed, ensuring compliance with departmental protocols and monitoring patient conditions throughout procedures.
  • Radiation Safety: Implement radiation protection measures for patients and staff, utilizing appropriate shielding techniques.
  • Nursing Support: Assist in sterile procedures, obtain vital signs, and document clinical histories accurately. Be prepared to identify and respond to allergic reactions or urgent medical conditions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
  • Preferred travel experience.
  • Familiarity with Epic systems is required.
  • Experience with Toshiba or Canon equipment is highly preferred.
  • Current BLS (AHA) and ARRT certifications are mandatory.
