Pediatric Palliative Care Opportunity

Ochsner Health is seeking a board-certified Pediatric Palliative Care physician to lead our pediatric palliative care program at Ochsner Childrens Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The successful candidate will join an established pediatric palliative care program within Ochsner Healths regional health system, the largest not-for-profit academic health system in the Gulf South.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient palliative care services for children.
  • Partner with medical, surgical, and mental health colleagues to serve children in multidisciplinary programs, including solid organ and stem cell transplantation, oncology, and cardiovascular diseases.
Teaching and Research Opportunities:
  • Teach medical students, residents, and allied health students.
  • Clinical research opportunities abound for qualified candidates.
  • Academic appointment commensurate with experience.
Estimated Salary: $250,000 - $350,000 per year

Ochsner Childrens Hospital offers a full range of pediatric care from primary to quaternary care, with services offered in all subspecialties, including Congenital Cardiac Surgery, Advanced GI and Hepatology, Advanced Orthopedic Surgery, Hematology-Oncology, Cleft Palate/Cranio-Facial Surgery, as well as heart, liver, and bone marrow transplant. Ochsner Childrens is a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to complex conditions. Ochsner Childrens Hospital is the top congenital heart program in the state (both in volume and outcomes) and has the largest and most comprehensive pediatric liver transplant program in the Gulf South.
