Job Summary

Rural Health Services Inc is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in the OB/GYN department. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and record vital signs, prepare patients for examination, and assist healthcare providers during procedures.
  • Accurately document patient information, including chief complaints and concerns.
  • Provide assistance with patient examinations, set up necessary supplies and equipment, and instruct patients in specimen collection.
  • Perform point-of-care testing, administer medications, and participate in daily huddles to review patient needs.
  • Assist with emergent and urgent requests, create and maintain patient files, and verify demographic information.
  • Query patients to ensure preventive health care guidelines are followed and process correspondence for assigned provider review.

Requirements:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
  • Experience working in OB/GYN and with diverse population groups
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with healthcare providers and patients
