Job Title: MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at The Christ Hospital Cardiovascular Associates. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to obtain diagnostic images of patients, ensuring the highest quality images are produced and presented to radiologists for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate MRI scanners to obtain diagnostic images of patients
  • Ensure the highest quality images are produced and presented to radiologists for interpretation
  • Position patients, scan, and archive procedures according to established protocol
  • Administer contrast media for the proper completion of MRI scans according to established protocol or as directed by a physician
  • Properly identify, prepare, administer, and document various medications used during procedures
  • Reconcile patient medications to ensure the patient's current medications will not interact with the contrast media
  • Complete all work in a timely, efficient, and productive manner
  • Assist coworkers in other modalities as appropriate, starting IVs, completing computer functions, and preparation of patients
  • Verify MD orders for accuracy and act upon appropriately
Requirements:
  • Graduation from ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology School required
  • Minimum 2 years related experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, isolation and sterile techniques/procedures
  • Patient positioning and equipment operation (x-ray machines and printers)
  • Cardiac MRI experience required
  • Board certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiography and advanced certified in MR within 2 years of employment if not already possessed
  • Active, valid Ohio license as Radiographer
  • CPR certification preferred
