Health Images is seeking a skilled PRN MRI Technologist to support our Denver West location. This opportunity also includes the possibility of covering shifts at West Littleton and Church Ranch locations.
Job Summary:The PRN MRI Technologist will perform MRI procedures according to protocol and age-specific needs, including patient preparation. The successful candidate will maintain and monitor the patient environment, adhere to safety procedures, and contribute to the security and maintenance of the unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Interface with patients to obtain medical history and provide instructions and explanations of procedures and exams.
- Review patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent, and screen patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
- Obtain prior films/exams as needed and perform high-quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Perform exams while attending to patient care before, during, and following the exam, and notify the appropriate party if the patient's condition changes at any time.
- Transfer images to other locations as needed.
- Coordinate scan protocols with the Radiologist.
- Maintain and regularly inspect equipment, and immediately report any quality concerns, equipment failures, or deficiencies.
- Interface with the Lead Technologist and Center/Area Manager regarding any departmental concerns.
- Two plus years' experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) - preferred.
- Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver, and a team player.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to continuously 'exceed' company and customer expectations.
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Current license from state medical board (if applicable).
- Current CPR certification.
