Nurse Practitioner

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Saint Luke's Health System, you will provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. This role involves screening walk-in patients, telephone screening, medication/injection education, assisting with procedures, cleaning wounds, dressing changes, suctioning, catheter insertion, tracheostomy care, biopsies, diabetic nail care, and other duties as assigned by the respective clinic.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Screen walk-in patients, conduct telephone screenings, and educate patients on medication and injections.
- Assist with procedures, including wound care, dressing changes, and suctioning.
- Perform catheter insertion, tracheostomy care, biopsies, and diabetic nail care as needed.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (KS) or Licensed Practical Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere and autonomously.
- Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times.
- Delegates tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
