Job Title: Python Developer

Hudson River Trading is seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our Compliance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a highly successful automated trading firm and contribute to the development of scalable code and processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Harness proprietary data using internal APIs and interfaces to create compliance and analytical reports
  • Maintain and improve the Compliance Development team's report framework to be more efficient and robust
  • Write ETL pipelines pertaining to regulatory or compliance-related data
  • Develop new features and support the web-based compliance surveillance application
  • Coordinate with other departments on technical projects
  • Work on complex tasks with variable scope, from quick fixes for existing processes to long-term direction setting
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
  • 1-4 years of relevant experience in Python or compliance
  • Intermediate to advanced Python skills
  • Experience working in UNIX systems
  • Familiarity with Python web frameworks (such as Flask, Django, and FastAPI) is a plus
  • Understanding of SQL and relational databases is a plus
  • C++, Javascript and React experience is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of trading is a plus, but not required
