Electrical Engineer for Precision Mechatronic Examination Systems

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team developing precision mechatronic examination systems for inspecting irradiated fuel from the fleet and the Advanced Test Reactor. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of fully engineered equipment and systems, from requirements development and concept design through hardware delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Research and development of novel technologies
- Proof of principle testing
- Design of and integration with motion control system elements
- Testing
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 1 year of relevant experience
- Currently or previously EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program
- SRE qualified
- Proficient oral and written communication
- Creativity in problem-solving
- Experience with instrumentation and controls, PLC systems, and computer programming
