Aircraft Commander

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pilot to join our team at The Gray Insurance Company. As a pilot, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft.

• Flight Operations: Conduct pre-flight checks, ensure the aircraft is airworthy, and coordinate with the Scheduler for flight changes.
• Aircraft Management: Determine the aircraft weight and balance, input fuel load, and ensure all required documentation is on board.
• Crew Management: Ensure the crew is legally licensed, adequately rested, and properly dressed.
• Navigation and Planning: Ensure all applicable navigational publications, flight and aircraft manuals, and aircraft documents are on board and current.
• International Flights: Ensure all appropriate authorities have been notified/coordinated and the appropriate forms are on board.
• Maintenance Coordination: Make arrangements for maintenance away from the home base and ensure the Flight Activity forms are completed.
• Post-Flight Duties: Complete all post-flight duties, including notification to the company of any deviation from the planned itinerary or overnight location.

• Education: College degree (BS or BA) preferred.
• Qualifications: Airline Transport Pilot rating preferred, Commercial Aircraft Pilot Rating required.
• Experience: 2,500 Total Time, 1,000 Multi-Engine, 1,000 Turbine, High-altitude experience.
• Certifications: ME Commercial Certificate or ATP Certificate, CFI-CFII-MEI preferred.
• Medical Certificate: Current Class II Medical Certificate.
• Language: Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
