BIM Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Coordinator to join our team at O'Connell Electric Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating project documents, providing design assistance, and managing BIM models.

• Coordinate project documents, including design modifications and prefabrication drawings
• Assist with scheduling and sequencing of preconstruction activities
• Manage BIM models and provide design assistance
• Visit job sites to manage design and fabrication issues
• Meet with Project Managers to review new projects and coordinate design changes
• Attend project meetings and perform site visits as required
• Provide project design and/or redesign using Revit, CAD, and Inventor drawings
• Assist with design software and hardware maintenance
• Coordinate and use Trimble Station System and similar field layout tools
• Review contract documents to understand job scope
• Develop project schedule, plan, and job coordination
• Identify value engineering opportunities
• Maintain excellent record keeping practices
• Document and maintain RFI logs and responses
• Stay current with local laws and codes affecting design and fabrication
• Support our strong safety culture

• 1-5 years' experience with BIM
• Understanding of BIM/VDC workflows and methods
• Ability to perform well within strict deadlines
• Self-motivated mindset
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Software experience including AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and Revit MEP
• Knowledge of BlueBeam and MS Office programs

The minimum and maximum hourly rate of pay for this position is between $60,500 to $77,864 annually. Compensation depends on numerous factors, including geographic location, skills required, experience, complexity, travel, and market rate.
