Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Honolulu, HI. As a key member of our Property and Buildings Team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for various projects.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in design and construction management. You will be responsible for working on multiple concurrent projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring project work conforms to specifications and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Determine methods for collecting and analyzing data from physical work sites, surveys, blueprints, and other matrices.
  • Perform professional mechanical engineering work, conducting research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, equipment, resources, and mechanical systems.
  • Develop construction and installation plans, specifications, and cost estimates; preparing safety and phasing plans, and updating infrastructure layout plans.
  • Incorporate advanced technology and modeling techniques to account for proper installation and functioning of equipment and systems according to specifications.
  • Verify site characteristics and provide technical assistance on various engineering, design, and construction issues relating to automatic temperature control systems, air distribution, hydronic systems, and plumbing systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior mechanical design experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and application to project work-related issues.
  • Experience with building and infrastructure planning, design, and construction management; including active involvement in rehabilitation and new design projects.
Compensation

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
