Post Anesthesia Nurse Contract Position

Whitecap Search is seeking a skilled Post Anesthesia Nurse to fill a contract position at a prestigious ambulatory surgical center in Southern New Jersey. This is a Monday through Friday, 9-5 position that requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities- Provide individualized post-operative nursing care to patients, consistent with anesthesiologist and/or attending physician directions or orders.
- Document all nursing activities and write a nursing discharge note when the anesthesiologist documents patient readiness for transfer to the progressive recovery room.
- Ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and level of consciousness according to nursing procedure.
- Assist the anesthesiologist or other attending physician as needed.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current RN license for the state of employment (or willingness to obtain).
- 2 years of acute PACU RN experience required.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
