Precision Machinist

We are seeking an experienced Precision Machinist to join our team at Coilcraft, Inc. in Oregon, IL.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled Machinists with 3-5 years of experience or those who have completed an apprenticeship program. As a Precision Machinist, you will be responsible for running surface grinders, mills, lathes, drill presses, and other general shop equipment.

You will work closely with close tolerances, create machine fixtures, perform hand operations, and conduct preventive maintenance. Additionally, you will have the chance to expand your skills with programming (CAMWorks and SolidWorks) and learning EDM.

• Machining Operations: Run various types of machining equipment, including surface grinders, mills, lathes, and drill presses.
• Machine Fixtures: Create precision machine fixtures to support machining operations.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Machinist or completion of an apprenticeship program.
• Skills: Proficiency with precision measuring devices, ability to interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.
• Tools and Equipment: Must have own tools and some measuring equipment.
