Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Meat Counter Clerk to join our team at T&R Market. As a Meat Counter Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring packaged meat and cut meat are properly stocked and displayed. You will also interact with customers, providing assistance and answering questions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recommend, slice, weigh, pack, and price products
  • Perform general stocking duties, including rotating product and removing expired items
  • Ensure shelves and displays are clean and neat
  • Operate tools and equipment safely
  • Greet and communicate politely with customers
  • Assist customers in finding merchandise and providing information
  • Comply with supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude
  • Function as a team member and maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues
  • Adhere to daily work schedules, including weekends, shifts, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands
  • Grasping, bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting (minimum 60lbs) on a regular basis
  • Lifting (minimum 110lbs) and carrying products
  • Walking, standing, climbing ladders, and being on feet for entire shifts
  • Pushing/pulling heavy loaded pallets and stock carts
  • Demonstrating above-average manual dexterity
  • Operating heavy equipment, such as forklifts and balers
Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous industry experience is also preferred. A valid N.M. Food Handlers Permit is required, and we will provide certification. The minimum age requirement is 18 years old. Navajo speaking is preferred.
