Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Music Teacher to join our team at Poet Christian School within the Tracy Unified School District in Tracy, CA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing music instruction to students in grades K-8, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and fostering a love of music in our students.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver music curriculum that aligns with state standards and school goals.
  • Teach various aspects of music, including music theory, history, performance, and appreciation.
  • Provide instruction in general music, incorporating diverse musical styles and cultural traditions.
  • Encourage students to think independently and express original ideas through music.
  • Evaluate student progress, maintain records, and communicate with parents.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Requirements
  • California Single Subject Music Credential or willingness to obtain.
  • English Learner Authorization.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and performance techniques.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
