Position Overview

Salary: Starting at $16.45 per hour

Company: Family Health Care is actively looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team.

This role welcomes candidates with varying levels of experience. The Pharmacy Technician will operate under the direct guidance of licensed pharmacists, engaging in the storage, preparation, dispensing, reconciliation, and billing of medications for patients served by our pharmacy. This position adheres strictly to all relevant legal standards, regulations, and protocols that govern pharmaceutical practices and the State Board of Pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense and fill medications under the oversight of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Ensure accurate collection and maintenance of patient demographics, allergies, insurance details, and other essential information, entering data into the system as necessary.
  • Assist the pharmacist in managing drug inventory and implementing quality control measures.
  • Prepare pharmacy workspaces for daily operations to effectively meet the needs of patients and pharmacists.
  • Perform various administrative tasks as required.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of and compliance with 340B program regulations.
