Team and Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned and highly motivated marketing professional to lead the creation and delivery of outstanding educational programming content for our clients. In this role, you will collaborate with our subject matter experts to produce thought leadership presentations, provide support and coaching to our presenters, coordinate all continuing education credits, build relationships with industry associations/media groups, and secure external speaking opportunities while assisting with article placements.

Our Content Marketing Team at J.S. Held is a dynamic group of strategic marketing and creative professionals who support all thought leadership initiatives among the company's 1,500+ consultants, including but not limited to articles, whitepapers, research reports, presentations, speaking engagements, and podcast interviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Position the firm and our consultants as thought leaders across various technical, scientific, financial, investigative, and risk-related topics.
  • Ensure adherence to presentation best practices and J.S. Held brand standards in the development of educational programming for content marketing purposes.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of new and updated educational programming presentations, including collaborating with stakeholders to gather event information, selecting topics and speakers, confirming continuing education needs, and conducting practice sessions.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on educational programming presentations to ensure consistency in spelling, grammar, tone, and voice, while ensuring strong visuals comply with brand standards.
  • Support the integration of educational programs from acquired firms into our content marketing library, ensuring timely completion of reviewed deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry associations and media outlets for article placements and speaking engagement opportunities.
  • Execute the pursuit of desired article placements and speaking engagements in line with strategic plans.
  • Identify gaps in our educational programming and collaborate with stakeholders to develop new sessions.
  • Monitor industry trends and content shifts for risks and opportunities in our content marketing efforts.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture, uphold personal accountability, and consistently deliver high-quality work.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external clients and foster strong partnerships with business stakeholders.
  • Manage projects independently to achieve objectives on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the Educational Programming Catalog to ensure relevance and representation of new topics.
  • Support the development and management of standard operating procedures for the Content Marketing Team.
  • Assist in the development of annual budget forecasts and provide expense reporting throughout the year.
  • Deliver comprehensive, accurate, and timely reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of extensive experience in professional communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, public relations, marketing, or relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of educational programming and experience delivering sessions to clients.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to coach presenters on best practices.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to achieve strategic outreach goals.
  • Advanced copywriting and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and time management abilities.
  • Ability to analyze business requests and advise stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts into accessible thought leadership materials.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with various functional areas and senior leadership.
  • Self-starter with the capability to manage projects from ideation to completion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
