Job Summary:
Shaffer Trucking is seeking a skilled CDL-A Driver to join our Midwest Region fleet. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods from one location to another
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining a safe and efficient driving record
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
- Communicate with dispatch and other drivers to coordinate routes and schedules
Requirements:
- One-year verifiable tractor-trailer experience with a class A CDL
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Benefits:
- Top 50% average salary: $77,740 per year
- Starting pay: $.65 to $.68 cpm
- Profit Sharing: Contributed $13 million in 2023
