Emergency Department Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital. As a critical member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages presenting for emergency care
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
- Document pertinent nursing notes to reflect changes in patient condition, transfers, and discharges
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed
- Coordinate and triage incoming ambulance traffic
- Manage care with primary ED attending
- Learn, understand, and use the Emergency Severity Index 5-level triage algorithm
- Respond to critical needs and serve as a resource nurse for trauma
- Educate patients regarding their medications, procedures, and treatments, providing support throughout their stay
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross - PALS and ACLS
