Job Title: Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our Data & IT, Analytics, and Research team at Uncommon Schools. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our research agenda and driving strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead data science projects to develop predictive models and generate timely and actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Design and implement data flows, leveraging Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Generative AI technologies.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify key metrics and develop data-driven strategies to drive organizational objectives.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on ML concepts and tools for internal teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Partner with Engineering teams to shape technology architecture and integrate innovative tools.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Master's or PhD preferred).
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in data science, with a focus on predictive modeling and data analysis.
  • 4+ years of experience designing and building data flows, with a strong understanding of ML and LLMs.
  • 3+ years of experience training others on coding languages and data science concepts.
